Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using V1X ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Service Description

V1X is a third-party companion app for the Valentine One Gen 2 radar detector. It connects to the V1 Gen 2 via Bluetooth using the Enhanced Serial Protocol (ESP) and provides a live map, alert visualization, Location Auto-Mute, Speed Auto-Mute, and related features.

V1X is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by Valentine Research, Inc. Valentine One and V1 Gen 2 are trademarks of Valentine Research, Inc.

Disclaimer

V1X is an informational tool. It is your sole responsibility to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding radar detectors and driving behavior. Laws governing radar detector use vary by jurisdiction. V1X makes no representation that use of a radar detector is legal in your location.

Alert detection, Location Auto-Mute accuracy, and Bluetooth connectivity depend on hardware, environment, and device conditions that V1X does not control. The app provides no guarantee of alert coverage, accuracy, or reliability.

Third-Party Hardware and Services

Use of V1X requires a Valentine One Gen 2 radar detector. The V1 Gen 2 is subject to its own terms and warranty from Valentine Research, Inc. V1X is not responsible for any behavior, errors, or limitations of third-party hardware.

V1X displays maps and road information using third-party services (Apple Maps or Google Maps, and the OpenStreetMap Overpass API) and downloads a fixed speed-camera database. These services are provided 'as is'; V1X is not responsible for their availability or accuracy. Any in-app purchases offered in the future are processed through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's terms of service.

Pricing & Purchases

V1X is currently free to use and does not require a paid subscription. Any optional paid features or subscriptions offered in the future will be disclosed in the app before purchase and billed through the Apple App Store. You may manage or cancel any subscription at any time in your device's subscription settings. Refunds, where applicable, are handled per Apple's App Store policy.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code in V1X are the property of JLMS LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the app.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JLMS LLC and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of V1X, including but not limited to traffic citations, accidents, property damage, personal injury, missed alerts, or device connectivity failures.

You use the app at your own risk. V1X is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
